Fábio Miguel Malheiro Paím (born 15 February 1988) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for C.D. Primeiro de Agosto in Angola, as a winger.
Born in Estoril, Paím began his career in the youth team of Lisbon's Sporting Clube de Portugal, before making his professional debut in 2007 on loan at C.D. Olivais e Moscavide, alongside Sporting teammate Bruno Pereirinha. He spent the 2007–08 season with two teams, making his top flight debut with F.C. Paços de Ferreira, after starting with C.D. Trofense, in the second division.
In August 2008, Paím moved on loan to Luiz Felipe Scolari's Chelsea in England,[1] but only appeared – scarcely – for its reserves during a four-month spell. On 11 December 2008, he left the club and moved, yet again on loan, to Rio Ave FC.[2] Coach Carlos Brito decided not to keep him, part of it due to his high salaries.[3] The player didn't manage to attract any club interest before the end of winter transfer window, and spent the rest of 2008–09 unnatached.
On 25 September 2009, both Sporting and Real Sport Clube – which had Filipe Ramos, a former Sporting player, as a coach, with the club competing in the third category – agreed to a one-year loan deal until the end of the 2009–10 season, making Paím the ninth Sporting player loaned out to that club.[4][5]
In the 2010 summer, without any appearances for Sporting, 22-year old Paím left Sporting for good, signing with another club in level three, S.C.U. Torreense.
